The performing arts centre, the library, the senior and youth centre, and a central rectangular plaza form the revitalization masterplan for Pickering’s civic centre. The theatre includes a 600-seat auditorium for orchestral music performances and a rehearsal studio that supports a range of community activities. The entrance and lobby open directly onto the plaza, which serves as an extension of the arts centre and provides space for the appreciation of music and architecture.
